Sierra Cascades

As if from out of the heart of the mountain, this intricate waterfall delicately cascades down the sheer drop of a cliff to the pool below. Overcast days are always best for shooting rainforest images because the soft light helps to reduce contrast. I used a slow shutter speed to transform the fast flowing falls into a dreamy curtain of water, and they contrast beautifully with the pristine forest foliage.
