Nature's Mill

Babcock State Park, West Virginia
It was an overcast and perfectly still morning as I hiked through Babcock State Park in West Virginia. The Autumn colors that surrounded me were alive and vibrant, a scene so typical of this time of year. Initially I was on my way to shoot the historic, charming old grist mill and while doing so turned and saw an incredible vantage point. After the Mill, I packed my tripod and camera and moved to the other side of the flowing stream and found the spot that I had seen earlier. The overhanging beautifully colored trees framed the shot, and with the crystal clear water flowing through the center and the Mill in the background my composition was complete.
